US vs Russian

Few decades back, when aerospace technology still new, American found out ball pen cant be use in outer space. Thus, 1 million dollars spent on a research to produce a brand new space-pen. The pen regarded as some great invention by the nation.

Meanwhile in Russia, when they faced the same problem , they used pencil instead.
